Medicare Tips for Seniors is Back!

Medicare-for-Seniors-CardMedicare Tips for Seniors is back and ready to blog again.

The blog stopped in 2014 when my best friend and husband passed. It has  certainly been a huge change.

While I wasn’t blogging about Medicare, I became a volunteer SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) Counselor in the State of Florida. I’ve have learned a lot and it is a great program. It is a free program.

In Florida we are called SHINE Counselors and you can visit the SHINE site here: http://www.floridashine.org/Counseling-Sites.aspx. Other states may have a different name for their counselors, but the program is there.

The program can be found on SHIP – State Health Insurance Program in your state. https://www.shiptacenter.org/

Here’s a tip sheet from the SHIP website regarding Medicare’s out-of-pocket expenses. You can review to and see if you might be eligible for any of the programs to help you with costs. Get the tip sheet here: click here.

If you have a Medicare experience or have a question, whether it’s Prescription Drug Plans, Medicare Advantage Plans, Original Medicare or Medigap/Supplement plans you would like to share or need help with, please feel free to contact us at MedicareTipsforSeniors@gmail.com.
